The Vyatta Core OS is the ultimate tool for any Network Engineers kit. If you have ever wished that you could add a particular package to your Vyatta Core installation and were not sure how to go about it this short post will have you installing in no time at all.
The first thing you need to do is make sure you have the correct repositories configured to install the packages you desire. To do this simply add the following to your configuration.
set system package repository squeeze components 'main contrib non-free' set system package repository squeeze distribution 'squeeze' set system package repository squeeze url 'http://mirrors.kernel.org/debian'
Then do “sudo apt-get update” and you can install packages with “apt-get install” as usual.
What Can I Do Now?
